Kate believes that with proper planning we can create a future where development and agriculture coexist in a sustainable, mutually beneficial relationship.

Kate’s commitment to the Agricultural Industry

As the only farmer on the Board, Kate will be the voice of the farming community.

She intends to actively seek input from the farming community, local agricultural agencies, and supporting boards to ensure she is best positioned to represent and fight for the needs of the agricultural industry.

Kate will:

• Endorse policies, ordinances and initiatives that support farmers in diversifying income through innovative, compatible agribusiness ventures.
• Advocate and support policies and initiatives that strengthen and expand efforts in agricultural land retention and protection.
• Support initiatives for outreach programs that will strengthen community-farmer relationships and garner community support for preserving our agricultural legacy.
